Phil O'Shea

Phil O Shea csb is a Brigidine Sister, a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Brigid. Phil has carried out a number of leadership roles in the Brigidine Congregation and is currently a member of the Irish/UK Leadership Team. 

 

Phil holds a B.Ed. degree in primary education and has taught at several Brigidine and other schools over the years. Phil also has a diploma in Spiritual Direction and for a time worked as a member of the Retreat Team in Emmaus Spirituality Centre.

 

One of the founder members of Solas Bhride Spirituality Centre in Kildare Town in 1993, she was instrumental in the development of the new Solas Bhride Spirituality Centre & Hermitages, established in 2015.

 

Currently Phil is the Co-ordinator of the centre, overseeing the day-to-day running of the centre and hermitages. Together with the Solas Bhride Team she develops and leads the centre’s rich programme of events including their pilgrim programme.

 

Phil is inspired by the story, myths, and legends associated with St. Brigid and believes they have a powerful message for our world today.
