As Vancity’s Director of Banking Applications, Aoife oversees the core banking tools used by Vancity’s 500,000 members on a daily basis. Vancity’s vision is to be a ‘Financial Force For Change’ and our banking applications are the means by which our members can engage with that mission.

After graduating with a double major in Economics and Sociology from University College Dublin, Aoife worked as an announcer and weather presenter for the Irish national broadcaster RTE. After several years traveling the globe, Aoife then worked for Google as a recruiter in their European headquarters before moving to Canada.

Aoife landed in Vancouver in 2007 and worked for the next four years for CTV television network. In 2012 she joined Vancity and has held roles that spanned Vancity’s approach to Digital Literacy, overseeing Vancity business banking platforms, working as Director of Product and now leading the Banking Application teams.
